Providing Care At Home
In home care is provided to people who cannot accomplish their daily tasks alone and do not wish to live in a nursing home or with relatives. They may need assistance due to age, a disability or injury.
A care provider may live in the residence or pay visits on a regular basis, depending on the needs of the individual.
Services offered by in home care providers are numerous and my include shopping for groceries, light housekeeping, preparing meals, medication reminders and laundry.
If a family member is taking care of the person, he or she may need a break, and the home care provider can be scheduled as a temporary substitute.
